Promoter anchored amplified polymorphism based on random amplified polymorphic DNA (PAAP-RAPD) in cotton

TL;DR: 10-nucleotide degenerate promoter primers based on conserved core promoter sequences are designed and tested their applicability in PCR amplifications in combination with 10-mer random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) primers and demonstrate the potential application of PAAP-RAPD as a new marker system specifically targeting regulatory regions of the plant genome.
Journal ArticleDOI

ATG-anchored AFLP (ATG-AFLP) analysis in cotton

TL;DR: In this paper, the ATG-anchored AFLP (ATG-AFLP) analysis was performed on Upland cotton and Arabidopsis cDNA, and the results showed that the increased number of total and polymorphic fragments per primer combination (2.3 vs. 4.5) was higher than the conventional AFLP within Uplands cotton.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparative transcriptome analysis of Pima and Acala cotton during boll development using 454 pyrosequencing technology

TL;DR: The first research in cotton using 454 pyrosequencing technology to enrich ESTs for high fiber quality cotton with sequence variations, predominantly single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs).
