Journal ArticleDOI

Fatty acid composition and anticancer activity in colon carcinoma cell lines of Prunus dulcis seed oil.

TL;DR: Almond oil from Northern Cyprus and Turkey may have anticancer and antiproliferative effects on colon cancer cells through molecular signalling pathways and, thus, they could be potential novel therapeutic agents.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Effect of Resveratrol and Quercetin on Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition in Pancreatic Cancer Stem Cell.

TL;DR: Quercetin could prevent EMT to a greater extent than resveratrol in pancreatic cancer stem cells because of the reduced expression of N-cadherin, and could be more effective in inhibiting metastasis compared to resver atrol.
Journal ArticleDOI

Quercetin-Mediated Apoptosis and Cellular Senescence in Human Colon Cancer.

TL;DR: The results suggest that quercetin may only induce apoptosis in primary colon cancer cells, and also triggered senescence in Colon cancer cells but some cells remained alive, suggesting that coloncancer cells might have escaped from senescences.
Journal ArticleDOI

Relationship between IL-6 and COVID-19: to be considered during treatment

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors focused on the induction of IL-6 after viral infections as a target molecule for monitoring cellular response, which is one of the key cytokines after activated macrophages.
Journal ArticleDOI

Association of leptin receptor gene Q223R polymorphism on lipid profiles in comparison study between obese and non-obese subjects.

TL;DR: The results suggest that the LEPR gene Q223R polymorphism has an association with waist and hip circumferences in obese group but no direct association with obesity although there is a significant influence on lipid profile both in obese and non-obese subjects.
