Phosphorylation of AMPA receptor subunit GluA1 regulates clathrin-mediated receptor endocytosis
Matheus F. Sathler,Latika Khatri,Jessica P. Roberts,Regina Célia Cussa Kubrusly,Edward B. Ziff,Seonil Kim +5 more
TL;DR: It is shown that an increase in GluA1 S845 phosphorylation by two distinct forms of synaptic plasticity, long-term potentiation and synaptic up-scaling, diminishes the binding of the AP2 adaptor and reduces endocytosis, resulting in elevation of GLUA1 surface expression.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gene regulation by gamma-secretase analyzed by microarray
TL;DR: A catalogue of candidate pathways involved in synaptic function that may be regulated by gamma-secretase is generated, including genes involved in Notch receptor signaling, cell-cell adhesion, and in synaptic transmission such as the NMDA NR2 receptor.
Journal ArticleDOI
Potential anti-arthritic and analgesic properties of essential oil and viridiflorol obtained from Allophylus edulis leaves in mice.
Natália de Matos Balsalobre,Elisangela dos Santos,Sidney Mariano dos Santos,Arielle Cristina Arena,Elisabete Castelon Konkiewitz,Edward B. Ziff,Anelise Samara Nazari Formagio,Cândida Aparecida Leite Kassuya +7 more
TL;DR: In this article , the anti-arthritic, anti-hyperalgesic and anti-nociceptive properties of EOAE and viridiflorol using in vivo models were investigated.
The state of consciousness in patients in the vegetative and minimally conscious states
TL;DR: The GW Theory proposal that consciousness arises from functional connectivity (FC) of widely separated brain regions is reviewed and it is discussed how such high FC underlies the Default Mode Network (DMN), a group of neural circuits that are active when an individual is not involved with external tasks and engages in introspective thinking.
Journal ArticleDOI
Natural Products as Sources of New Analgesic Drugs
Arielle Cristina Arena,Cândida Aparecida Leite Kassuya,Elisabete Castelon Konkiewitz,Edward B. Ziff +3 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors proposed a method to solve the problem of the problem: the one-dimensional graph. .>
