The Rechargeable Li x TiS2 / LiAlCl4 / Li1 − x CoO2 Solid‐State Cell
TL;DR: An all solid-state cell employing lithium tetrachloroaluminate (LiAlCl 4 ) as the lithium ion conducting solid electrolyte and using lithium intercalating compounds, titanium disulfide (TiS 2 ), and lithium cobalt(III) oxide (LiCoO 2 ), as the electroactive materials in the rocking chair' configuration is described in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Durability Study on SWNT/Nanofiber Buckypaper Catalyst Support for PEMFCs
W. Zhu,Jim P. Zheng,Richard Liang,Richard Liang,Bin Wang,Bin Wang,Chuck Zhang,Chuck Zhang,G. Au,Edward J. Plichta +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, a buckypaper-supported platinum (Pt) catalysts derived from carbon nanotube and carbon nanofiber have demonstrated a high Pt utilization in proton exchange membrane fuel cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Self-Discharge Behavior of Lithium-Sulfur Batteries at Different Electrolyte/Sulfur Ratios

Journal ArticleDOI
Combined Effects of Oxygen Diffusion and Electronic Resistance in Li-Air Batteries with Carbon Nanofiber Cathodes
Xujie Chen,Vamsci V Bevara,Petru Andrei,Mary A. Hendrickson,Edward J. Plichta,Junsheng Zheng +5 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Solvent-Coupled Catalysis of the Oxygen Electrode Reactions in Lithium-Air Batteries
Matthew Trahan,Iromie Gunasekara,Sanjeev Mukerjee,Edward J. Plichta,Mary A. Hendrickson,K. M. Abraham +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an outer Helmholtz plane (OHP) reaction pathway is proposed for ORR in non-aqueous electrolytes, which is coupled to the ability of the solvents to modulate the Lewis acidity of Li+ and determine the relative stability of the ORR intermediates and the final products formed.
