Journal ArticleDOI
Microbial production of fructosyltransferases for synthesis of pre-biotics
Alfredo Eduardo Maiorano,Rosane A. M. Piccoli,Elda Sabino da Silva,Maria Filomena de Andrade Rodrigues +3 more
TL;DR: Fructooligosaccharides chemical structure, enzyme characteristics, the nomenclature, producer microorganisms and enzyme production both in solid state fermentation and submerged cultivation are reviewed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Screening of filamentous fungi for antimicrobial silver nanoparticles synthesis.
Cristiane Angélica Ottoni,Marta Filipa Simões,Sara Fernandes,Jonas Gomes dos Santos,Elda Sabino da Silva,Rodrigo Fernando Brambilla de Souza,Alfredo Eduardo Maiorano +6 more
TL;DR: The present work screened a batch of 20 fungal strains, isolated from sugar cane plantation soil, in order to identify those capable of biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles, known to have a large and effective application in clinical microbiology.
Journal ArticleDOI
Screening of β-fructofuranosidase-producing microorganisms and effect of pH and temperature on enzymatic rate
Rubén Cuervo Fernandez,Cristiane Angélica Ottoni,Elda Sabino da Silva,Rosa Mitiko Saito Matsubara,José Marcio Carter,Luis Roberto Magossi,Maria Alice Alves Wada,Maria Filomena de Andrade Rodrigues,Beatriz Guilarte Maresma,Alfredo Eduardo Maiorano +9 more
TL;DR: Comparison of the tested variable coefficients shows that the variable pH contributes mostly to the changes in the fructosyltransferase and hydrolytic rates and in the Vt/Vh ratio.
Journal ArticleDOI
Production of poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) in an airlift bioreactor by Ralstonia eutropha
TL;DR: Investigation in an airlift bioreactor of Ralstonia eutropha DSM 545 found that the low supply of oxygen in airlift leads to better performances on PHB production with the advantage of lower demand of energy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and characterization of fructosyltransferase from Aspergillus oryzae ipt-301 for high fructooligosaccharides production
Josivan S. Cunha,Cristiane Angélica Ottoni,Sergio Andres Villalba Morales,Elda Sabino da Silva,Alfredo Eduardo Maiorano,Rafael Firmani Perna +5 more
TL;DR: The authors gratefully acknowledge The State of Minas Gerais Research Foundation for providing financial support and the Institute for Technological Research (IPT/SP)/Programa Novos Talentos, through an individual research grant attributed to Cristiane Angelica Ottoni.
