Journal ArticleDOI

Affinity Membranes and Monoliths for Protein Purification.

TL;DR: It was demonstrated that the capacity of convective stationary phases does not depend on flow rate, in the range investigated, and that the productivity that can be achieved with membranes is 10 to 20 times higher depending on the initial BSA concentration value, and with monoliths it is approximately twice that of beads, at the same superficial velocity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Flexible design of cellular Al2TiO5 and Al2TiO5-Al2O3 composite monoliths by reactive firing

TL;DR: In this article, the impact of 2-step reactive firing on phase composition and porosity of cellular Al2TiO5 and Al2O5-Al2O3 composite ceramics was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of the spacer arm on non-specific binding in membrane affinity chromatography

TL;DR: The effect of the spacer 1,2-diaminoethane on non-specific protein adsorption was recently investigated and the results were compared with the ones obtained with A2P affinity membranes and show that this spacer has indeed an important effect and that similar specific studies need to be performed for every spacer molecule.
Journal ArticleDOI

Construction and test of the SM1 type Micromegas chambers for the upgrade of the ATLAS forward muon spectrometer

J. P. Agarwala, +103 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a large-size resistive micromegas have been chosen for the upgrade of the forward muon spectrometer of the ATLAS experiment, the New Small Wheel project, which allows reconstruction of high-momentum muon tracks in a high-radiation environment and provides a robust lowthreshold single-muon trigger.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental and theoretical analysis to assess the use of monolithic columns in process chromatography

TL;DR: Experimental and Theoretical analysis to assess the use of monolithic columns in process chromatography has been conducted by Dimartino, Herigstad, Boi, Lalli, and Sarti as discussed by the authors.
