Hydrological modelling of urbanized catchments: A review and future directions

TL;DR: This paper reviews the state of the art on the scientific knowledge and practice of modelling the urban hydrological system at the catchment scale, with the purpose of identifying current limitations and defining a blueprint for future modelling advances.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spatio-temporal impact of climate change on the groundwater system

TL;DR: In this paper, the impact of 28 climate change scenarios on the groundwater system of a lowland catchment in Belgium was studied with high temporal and spatial resolution, and the results showed that for the scenario period 2070-2101 compared with the reference period 1960-1991, a change in annual groundwater recharge between −20% and +7%.

Enhanced model flexibility and coupling opportunities: The WetSpa model case

TL;DR: An object oriented, modular model that is based on the fully distributed and physically based hydrological model WetSpa, which has been rewritten using the open source computer language Python and coupled with the groundwater flow model MODFLOW.
