Journal ArticleDOI
Mechano-Synthesis, Characterization, and Magnetic Properties of Nanoparticles of Cobalt Ferrite, CoFe2O4
Elina Manova,Boris Kunev,Daniela Paneva,Ivan Mitov,Lachezar Petrov,Claude Estournès,and Céline D'Orléans,Jean-Luc Rehspringer,Mohamedally Kurmoo +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the only product of the milling for 5 h of the LDH-CO3 is cobalt ferrite nanoparticles, and the magnetic properties exhibit a strong dependence on the particle size as a result of an unusual cation distribution and surface effect.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mechanochemically synthesized nano-dimensional iron–cobalt spinel oxides as catalysts for methanol decomposition
TL;DR: In this article, phase composition and structural properties of iron-cobalt oxides are investigated by X-ray diffraction and Moessbauer spectroscopy, and their catalytic behavior in methanol decomposition to CO and methane is tested.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nanosized iron and iron–cobalt spinel oxides as catalysts for methanol decomposition
Elina Manova,Tanya Tsoncheva,Claude Estournès,Daniela Paneva,K. Tenchev,Ivan Mitov,L.A. Petrov +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, X-rays diffraction, Mossbauer spectroscopy, magnetic measurements and temperature programmed reduction were used to study the catalytic behavior of mixed iron-cobalt oxides in methanol decomposition to H 2, CO and methane.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermally synthesized nanosized copper ferrites as catalysts for environment protection
Tanya Tsoncheva,Elina Manova,Nikolay Velinov,Daniela Paneva,Milena Popova,Boris Kunev,K. Tenchev,Ivan Mitov +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the phase composition of the obtained materials was characterized by XRD, Mossbauer spectroscopy, DSC and TPR analysis, and their catalytic properties were tested in total oxidation of toluene and methanol decomposition to CO and hydrogen.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nanosized copper ferrite materials: Mechanochemical synthesis and characterization
Elina Manova,Tanya Tsoncheva,Daniela Paneva,Margarita Popova,Nikolay Velinov,Boris Kunev,K. Tenchev,Ivan Mitov +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a two-step procedure of co-precipitation of copper and iron hydroxide carbonates, followed by mechanochemical treatment is used for nanodimensional powders of cubic copper ferrite.
