Maternal and neonatal outcomes of elective induction of labor.

TL;DR: Overall, expectant management of pregnancy was associated with an approximately 22 percent higher odds of cesarean delivery than elective induction of labor, and the evidence was rated as moderate because of the size and number of studies and consistency of the findings.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Cost-Effectiveness and Population Outcomes of Expanded HIV Screening and Antiretroviral Treatment in the United States

TL;DR: Expanding HIV screening and treatment simultaneously offers the greatest health benefit and is cost-effective, however, even substantial expansion of HIV screenings and treatment programs is not sufficient to markedly reduce the U.S. HIV epidemic without substantial reductions in risk behavior.

Nursing home staff networks and COVID-19.

TL;DR: Results suggest that eliminating staff linkages between nursing homes could reduce COVID-19 infections in nursing homes by 44 percent, and traditional federal regulatory metrics of nursing home quality are unimportant in predicting outbreaks, consistent with recent research.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparative Survival and Cost-Effectiveness of Advanced Therapies for End-Stage Heart Failure

TL;DR: Under most scenarios, OHT prolongs life and is cost effective in eligible patients, and destination therapy-LVAD significantly improves life expectancy in OHT-ineligible patients, however, further reductions in adverse events or improved quality of life are needed to be cost effective.
