TL;DR: Glucocorticoids probably reduce mortality and mechanical ventilation in patients with covid-19 compared with standard care and the effectiveness of most interventions is uncertain because most of the randomised controlled trials so far have been small and have important study limitations.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the efficacy and safety of antiviral antibody therapies and blood products for the treatment of novel coronavirus disease 2019 (covid-19), with pairwise meta-analysis for outcomes with insufficient data.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antiviral drug treatment for nonsevere COVID-19: a systematic review and network meta-analysis
Tyler Pitre,R. V. Van Alstine,Genevieve Chick,Gareth Leung,David Mikhail,Ellen Cusano,Faran Khalid,Dena Zeraatkar +7 more
TL;DR: Molnupiravir and nirmatrelvir–ritonavir probably reduce risk of hospital admissions and death among patients with nonsevere COVID-19 and the effectiveness of these drugs must thus be tested among vaccinated patients and against newer variants.
Journal ArticleDOI
Immediate-term cognitive impairment following intravenous (IV) chemotherapy: a prospective pre-post design study.
Omar Farooq Khan,Ellen Cusano,Soundouss Raissouni,Mica Pabia,Johanna Haeseker,Nicholas A. Bosma,Jenny J. Ko,Haocheng Li,Aalok Kumar,Michael M. Vickers,Patricia A. Tang +10 more
TL;DR: Level of impairment similar to effects of alcohol consumption in other studies was seen in 40% of patients and changes in reciprocal transformed PVT reaction time were not correlated with age, sex, cancer type, treatment setting, or use of supportive medications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Consistency of covid-19 trial preprints with published reports and impact for decision making: retrospective review
Dena Zeraatkar,Tyler Pitre,Gareth Leung,Ellen Cusano,Arnav Agarwal,Faran Khalid,Z. Escamilla,Matt Cooper,Maryam Ghadimi,Ying Wang,Francisca Verdugo-Paiva,Gabriel Zada,Elena Kum,Anila Qasim,Jessica J Bartoszko,R. Siemieniuk,Chirag J. Patel,Gordon H. Guyatt,Romina Brignardello-Petersen +18 more
TL;DR: No compelling evidence indicates that preprints provide results that are inconsistent with published papers, and evidence users should be encouraged to consider data from preprints.
