Journal ArticleDOI

Methane absorption spectroscopy on a silicon photonic chip

TL;DR: In this paper, the evanescent optical field of a high-index contrast nanoscale silicon waveguide is used to probe ambient CH4, yielding Gaussian noise-limited sub-100 parts-per-million by volume detection limits.
Journal ArticleDOI

Laser-annealing Josephson junctions for yielding scaled-up superconducting quantum processors

TL;DR: In this article, the problem of frequency crowding in fixed-frequency qubit architectures is addressed by systematically adjusting qubit frequencies post-fabrication, which shows a nearly ten-fold improvement in the precision of setting qubit frequency.
Journal ArticleDOI

Laser-annealing Josephson junctions for yielding scaled-up superconducting quantum processors

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a solution for frequency crowding in fixed-frequency qubit architectures by systematically adjusting qubit frequencies post-fabrication, which shows a nearly tenfold improvement in the precision of setting qubit frequency.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hydrofluoric acid flow etching of low-loss subwavelength-diameter biconical fiber tapers.

TL;DR: An etch method based on surface tension driven flows of hydrofluoric acid microdroplets for the fabrication of low-loss, subwavelength-diameter biconical fiber tapers is presented and produces adiabatic taper transitions with minimal surface corrugations.
