Demonstration of quantum volume 64 on a superconducting quantum computing system
Petar Jurcevic,Ali Javadi-Abhari,Lev S. Bishop,Isaac Lauer,Daniela F. Bogorin,Markus Brink,Lauren Capelluto,Oktay Günlük,Toshinari Itoko,Naoki Kanazawa,Abhinav Kandala,George A. Keefe,Kevin Krsulich,William F. Landers,Eric P. Lewandowski,Douglas McClure,Giacomo Nannicini,Adinath Narasgond,Hasan M. Nayfeh,Emily J. Pritchett,Mary Beth Rothwell,Srikanth Srinivasan,Neereja Sundaresan,Cindy Wang,K. X. Wei,Christopher J. Wood,Jeng-Bang Yau,Eric J. Zhang,Oliver Dial,Jerry M. Chow,Jay M. Gambetta +30 more
TL;DR: This work improves the quality of quantum circuits on superconducting quantum computing systems, as measured by the quantum volume (QV), with a combination of dynamical decoupling, compiler optimizations, shorter two-qubit gates, and excited state promoted readout.
Journal ArticleDOI
Methane absorption spectroscopy on a silicon photonic chip
TL;DR: In this paper, the evanescent optical field of a high-index contrast nanoscale silicon waveguide is used to probe ambient CH4, yielding Gaussian noise-limited sub-100 parts-per-million by volume detection limits.
Journal ArticleDOI
Laser-annealing Josephson junctions for yielding scaled-up superconducting quantum processors
Jared Hertzberg,Eric J. Zhang,Sami Rosenblatt,Easwar Magesan,John A. Smolin,Jeng-Bang Yau,Vivekananda P. Adiga,Martin Sandberg,Markus Brink,Jerry M. Chow,Jason S. Orcutt +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the problem of frequency crowding in fixed-frequency qubit architectures is addressed by systematically adjusting qubit frequencies post-fabrication, which shows a nearly ten-fold improvement in the precision of setting qubit frequency.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a solution for frequency crowding in fixed-frequency qubit architectures by systematically adjusting qubit frequencies post-fabrication, which shows a nearly tenfold improvement in the precision of setting qubit frequency.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydrofluoric acid flow etching of low-loss subwavelength-diameter biconical fiber tapers.
TL;DR: An etch method based on surface tension driven flows of hydrofluoric acid microdroplets for the fabrication of low-loss, subwavelength-diameter biconical fiber tapers is presented and produces adiabatic taper transitions with minimal surface corrugations.
