Protocol: a highly sensitive RT-PCR method for detection and quantification of microRNAs

TL;DR: In this article, an end-point and real-time looped RT-PCR procedure was proposed to detect miRNAs from as little as 20 pg of plant tissue total RNA and from total RNA isolated from 0.1 μl of phloem sap.
Journal Article

Protocol : A highly sensitive RT-PCR method for detection and quantification of microRNAs

TL;DR: Using this assay, it is demonstrated that miRNAs are differentially expressed in the phloem sap and the surrounding vascular tissue and an alternative real-time PCR assay is developed that can further improve specificity when detecting low abundant mi RNAs.
PatentDOI

A systemic small rna signaling system in plants

TL;DR: In this article, a polynucleotide sequence encoding a component of the protein machinery involved in small RNA trafficking, Cucurbita maxima PHLOEM SMALL RNA-BINDING PROTEIN1 (CmPSRB 1), and corresponding polypeptide sequence.
Journal ArticleDOI

Functional diversification of the potato R2R3 MYB anthocyanin activators AN1, MYBA1, and MYB113 and their interaction with basic helix-loop-helix cofactors

TL;DR: Evidence of the diversification and interaction of anthocyanin-related MYB activators and basic helix-loop-helix cofactors, which regulate anthochenin biosynthesis in the potato tuber, are reported.
