Journal ArticleDOI
Gold nanoshell-localized photothermal ablation of prostate tumors in a clinical pilot device study
Ardeshir R. Rastinehad,Harry Anastos,Ethan Wajswol,Jared S. Winoker,John P. Sfakianos,Sai K. Doppalapudi,Michael R. Carrick,Cynthia J. Knauer,Bachir Taouli,Sara Lewis,Ashutosh K. Tewari,Jon A. Schwartz,Steven E. Canfield,Arvin K. George,Jennifer L. West,Naomi J. Halas +15 more
TL;DR: This treatment protocol appears to be feasible and safe in men with low- or intermediate-risk localized prostate cancer without serious complications or deleterious changes in genitourinary function and results in greatly reduced patient morbidity and improved functional outcomes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Avoiding Unnecessary Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Biopsies: Negative and Positive Predictive Value of MRI According to Prostate-specific Antigen Density, 4Kscore and Risk Calculators
Ugo Falagario,Ugo Falagario,Alberto Martini,Ethan Wajswol,Patrick-Julien Treacy,Parita Ratnani,Ivan Jambor,Harry Anastos,Sara Lewis,Kenneth Haines,Luigi Cormio,Giuseppe Carrieri,Ardeshir R. Rastinehad,Peter Wiklund,Ash Tewari +14 more
TL;DR: Performing the 4Kscore test in conjunction with multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging for men with a clinical suspicion of prostate cancer may help to reduce unnecessary biopsies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Traumatic brain injury and intracranial hemorrhage–induced cerebral vasospasm: a systematic review
Fawaz Al-Mufti,Krishna Amuluru,Abhinav R Changa,Megan Lander,Patel N,Ethan Wajswol,Sarmad Al-Marsoummi,Alzubaidi B,Inder Paul Singh,Rolla Nuoman,Chirag D. Gandhi +10 more
TL;DR: Clinicians should suspect PTV in young patients presenting with intracranial hemorrhage (ICH), especially SAH and/or intraventricular hemorrhage, who present with a GCS score less than 9, and young age (< 30 years.
Journal ArticleDOI
A cohort of transperineal electromagnetically tracked magnetic resonance imaging/ultrasonography fusion‐guided biopsy: assessing the impact of inter‐reader variability on cancer detection
Ethan Wajswol,Jared S. Winoker,Harry Anastos,Ugo Falagario,Kennedy Okhawere,Alberto Martini,Patrick Julien Treacy,Nicholas Voutsinas,Cynthia J. Knauer,John P. Sfakianos,Sara Lewis,Bachir Taouli,Ardeshir R. Rastinehad +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the ability of transperineal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)/ultrasonography (US) fusion-guided targeted biopsy platform and the impact of interreader variability on cancer detection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Safety and Efficacy of Sacroplasty for Sacral Fractures: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
TL;DR: Sacroplasty appears safe and effective for pain relief in patients with osteoporotic or malignant sacral fractures, with statistically significant sustained improvement in VAS pain scores up to 12 months.
