Journal Article
Survival rates of patients with metastatic malignant melanoma.
TL;DR: The influence of metastases distribution on the overall survival was examined and it was noticed that there were statistically significant differences between the risks of death of various groups of patients, depending on metastasis topography.
Journal ArticleDOI
Value of acoustic radiation force impulse imaging elastography for non-invasive evaluation of patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
TL;DR: ARFI elastography is a promising method for differentiating patients with non-alcoholic steatohepatitis from patients with simple steatosis and can also predict significant fibrosis in these patients.
Journal Article
Prognostic significance of KRAS gene mutations in colorectal cancer--preliminary study.
D Dinu,Maria Dobre,Eugenia Panaitescu,Rodica Birla,Cristina Iosif,P Hoara,Andrei Caragui,Boeriu M,Silviu Constantinoiu,C Ardeleanu +9 more
TL;DR: It was not found that KRAS gene status had any prognostic significance, but for stage I and II patients, the mutation found on codon 13 determined a statistic significant shorter survival rate than for those with wild type.
Journal Article
Bayes estimators of Modified-Weibull distribution parameters using Lindley's approximation
TL;DR: In this paper, the Bayes Estimators of scale and shape parameters using Lindley's approximation (L-approximation) under various loss functions are compared with the corresponding MLE for their risks based on corresponding simulated samples.
Journal Article
KRAS gene mutations - prognostic factor in colorectal cancer?
Maria Dobre,Daniela Dinu,Eugenia Panaitescu,Rodica Birla,Cristina Iosif,Boeriu M,Silviu Constantinoiu,Roxana Nicoleta Ivan,Carmen Ardeleanu,Marieta Costache +9 more
TL;DR: A retrospective study on 74 patients treated by radical surgery found that for the patients in stage IV pTNM, the evolution was slightly better in association with a KRAS mutation than in wild type cases, and tried to appreciate the prognostic value of these mutations.
