Reaction of aminocarbene complexes of chromium with alkynes. 1. Formation and rearrangement of ketene and nitrogen ylide complexes

TL;DR: The title reactions of chromium-containing carbene complexes (CO) 5 Cr=(R 1 )N(R 2 R 3 ) (R 1 =H, Me, Ph; R 2 =Me; R 3 =Me, C 3 H 5, CH 2 C 3H 5 ) 8 and (CO 5 Cr=C[(CH 2 ) 3 C≡CPh]N
Journal ArticleDOI

Reaction of aminocarbene complexes of chromium with alkynes. 2. Intramolecular insertions leading to polycyclic lactams

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the thermolysis of chromium-containing carbene complexes of the general structure (CO) 5 Cr=C(NR 2 R 3 )-(CH 2 ) n C=C-R 1) and showed that the insertions of the triple bond and of CO, followed by a rearrangement to tricyclic lactams, are observed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Concise synthesis of enantiopure (S)- and (R)-α-trifluoromethyl aspartic acid and α-trifluoromethyl serine from chiral trifluoromethyl oxazolidines (Fox) via a Strecker-type reaction

TL;DR: In this article, a concise synthesis of enantiopure (S)- and (R)-α-Tfm-aspartic acid and α-tfm-serine is reported, which involves a Strecker-type reaction on chiral CF3-oxazolidines derived from ethyl 4,4,4-trifluoroacetoacetate (ETFAA) or ethyl trifluoropyruvate.
