Journal ArticleDOI

The use of the PMI/mannose selection system to recover transgenic sweet orange plants ( Citrus sinensis L. Osbeck)

TL;DR: This system provides an efficient manner for selecting transgenic sweet orange plants without using antibiotics or herbicides and was developed in which positive selection based on the Escherichia coli phosphomannose-isomerase gene and mannose as the selective agent was used.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tissue-print and squash real-time PCR for direct detection of ‘Candidatus Liberibacter’ species in citrus plants and psyllid vectors

TL;DR: The simplified direct methods of sample preparation presented herein can be effectively adopted for use in rapid screening of HLB agents in extensive surveys, certification schemes or for epidemiological and research studies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efeito da composição do substrato na formação de mudas de laranjeira `pera'

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of five substrate mixtures on the development of young sweet orange trees (Citrus sinensis cv.`Pera'), using the rootstocks Ranpur lime, Cleopatra mandarin, and Swingle citrumelo, was evaluated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Genetic transformation of Citrus sinensis with Citrus tristeza virus (CTV) derived sequences and reaction of transgenic lines to CTV infection

TL;DR: The results suggested that the transgenic plants present some level of resistance to virus replication and the higher number of clones with low virus titer and where mRNA could not be detected or was presented in a very light band was found for pCTV-dsCP-derived transgenic lines.
