A photoelectrochemical determination of the position of the conduction and valence band edges of p‐type CuO
F. P. Koffyberg,F. A. Benko +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a low mobility semiconductor with an indirect band gap of 1.35 eV and a flatband potential of + 0.55 V, with respect to the saturated calomel electrode (SCE), when in contact with an electrolyte at a pH of 9.4.
Journal ArticleDOI
Opto-electronic properties of p- and n-type delafossite, CuFeO2
F.A. Benko,F. P. Koffyberg +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, photo-electrochemical measurements of n-type CuFeO2, doped with Sn, are found to be 4.9 eV below the vacuum level.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantum efficiency and optical transitions of CdO photoanodes
F.A. Benko,F. P. Koffyberg +1 more
TL;DR: The measured quantum efficiency of CdO in the range 1.0
Journal ArticleDOI
Optical bandgaps and electron affinities of semiconducting Rh2O3(I) and Rh2O3(III)
TL;DR: In this article, the valence band edges are found to be 5.0-5.1 eV below the vacuum level; electron affinities are 3.6 eV for Rh 2 O 3 (I) and 3.9 eV (III) for RH 2 O3 (III), with bandgaps of 1.41 eV and 1.20 eV, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preparation and opto-electronic properties of semiconducting CuCrO2
F.A. Benko,F. P. Koffyberg +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors determined the bandgap of CuCrO2 to be 1.28 eV; further interband transitions occurred at ⋟2.2, 3.08 and 3.35 eV.
