Carbon foam electromagnetic mm-wave absorption in reverberation chamber

TL;DR: In this paper, the electromagnetic absorbing cross section (ACS) of carbon foams in the mm-wave frequency range 50-70 GHz was analyzed by means of a reverberation chamber (RC) set-up.
Journal ArticleDOI

An innovative deployable solar panel system for Cubesats

TL;DR: In this paper, a modular deployable solar panel system for Cubesats, consisting of a modular hinge and spring system that can be potentially used on-board single (1U), double (2U), triple (3U), and six units (6U) CubesATS, is described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of disposed-upper-stage attitude motion by ground-based optical observations

TL;DR: The results of an observation campaign devoted to the determination of the rotational state of uncontrolled disposed upper stages by ground-based optical observations are presented in this paper, where photometric analysis is performed to extract light curves from photographs obtained by a camera based on charge-coupled devices.
Journal ArticleDOI

Miniaturized attitude control system for nanosatellites

TL;DR: In this article, a miniaturized attitude control system suitable for nanosatellites, developed using only commercial off-the-shelf components, is described, which can operate as a real-time maneuvering system, executing commands sent from the ground or as a standalone attitude controller system receiving the solar array status from a hosting satellite and the satellite ephemeris transmitted from a ground station.
Journal ArticleDOI

BVRI photometric observations and light-curve analysis of GEO objects

TL;DR: BVRI photometric observations of Geosynchronous Earth Orbit (GEO) objects were conducted with the 15m Cassini Telescope located in Loiano, Italy The observatory is operated by the INAF (National Institute for Astrophysics) Astronomical Observatory of Bologna, Italy.
