Online video in clinical skills education of oral medication administration for undergraduate student nurses: a mixed methods, prospective cohort study.

Journal ArticleDOI

Debridement for surgical wounds.

TL;DR: There is a lack of large, high-quality published RCTs evaluating debridement per se, or comparing different methods of debridements for surgical wounds, to guide clinical decision-making.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pre-registration adult nurses’ knowledge of safe transfusion practice: Results of a 12 month follow-up study

TL;DR: The study demonstrated, within the small sample completing at all 3 time points, that there is clear degradation of knowledge during the study period and the influence of experience on knowledge retention appears to have a positive effect at 6 months but no appreciable effect at 12 months.

Leadership in compassionate care programme: final report.

Journal ArticleDOI

Metered dose inhalers versus nebulizers for aerosol bronchodilator delivery for adult patients receiving mechanical ventilation in critical care units.

TL;DR: Existing randomized controlled trials, including randomized cross-over trials where the order of the intervention was randomized, comparing nebulizer and MDI for aerosol bronchodilator administration in mechanically ventilated adult patients do not provide sufficient evidence to support either delivery method at this time.
