Journal ArticleDOI
A glimpse into the effect of sulfur supply on metabolite profiling, glutathione and phytochelatins in Panicum maximum cv. Massai exposed to cadmium
Flávio Henrique Silveira Rabêlo,Flávio Henrique Silveira Rabêlo,Alisdair R. Fernie,Alejandro Navazas,Lucélia Borgo,Lucélia Borgo,Els Keunen,Berenice Kussumoto de Alcântara da Silva,Ann Cuypers,José Lavres +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of S nutrition on the metabolic profile and the synthesis of GSH and PC in Panicum maximum cv was analyzed, and the tissues of plants exposed to Cd showed distinct responses related to the primary metabolism.
Journal ArticleDOI
Investigation into the relationship among Cd bioaccumulation, nutrient composition, ultrastructural changes and antioxidative metabolism in lettuce genotypes under Cd stress.
José Lavres,Flávio Henrique Silveira Rabêlo,Flávia R. Capaldi,André Rodrigues dos Reis,Monica Lanzoni Rosssi,Mônica Regina Franco,Ricardo Antunes Azevedo,Cassio Hamilton Abreu-Junior,Neusa L. Nogueira +8 more
TL;DR: Results suggest that genotypes with less efficient antioxidant defence in the roots tend to take up more Cd, increasing root-to-shoot Cd translocation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nitrogen recovery, use efficiency, dry matter yield, and chemical composition of palisade grass fertilized with nitrogen sources in the Cerrado biome
Elisângela Dupas,Salatiér Buzetti,Flávio Henrique Silveira Rabêlo,André Luís Sarto,Nicole Colombari Cheng,Marcelo Carvalho Minhoto Teixeira Filho,Fernando Shintate Galindo,Raíssa Perreira Dinalli,Rodolfo de Niro Gazola +8 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Proper supply of S increases GSH synthesis in the establishment and reduces tiller mortality during the regrowth of Tanzania guinea grass used for Cd phytoextraction
TL;DR: The supply of S reduces the phytotoxicity caused by Cd to guinea grass, especially during the regrowth of the plant, when the concentration of Cd is higher because of the transport from roots to shoots.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adequate S supply reduces the damage of high Cd exposure in roots and increases N, S and Mn uptake by Massai grass grown in hydroponics
Flávio Henrique Silveira Rabêlo,Flávio Henrique Silveira Rabêlo,Alexander Lux,Mônica Lanzoni Rossi,Adriana Pinheiro Martinelli,Ann Cuypers,José Lavres +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the effect of S supply on root development and nutrient uptake in forage grasses used for Cd phytoextraction in Panicum maximum Jacq. cv.
