Journal ArticleDOI

Redox Regulation and Oxidative Stress: The Particular Case of the Stallion Spermatozoa.

TL;DR: Horses are a good model for the study of redox biology in the spermatozoa and its impact on the embryo because of their intense mitochondrial activity and sophisticated systems to control redox homeostasis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Outbreaks of antimicrobial resistant Salmonella Choleraesuis in wild boars piglets from central-western Spain.

TL;DR: The present work aims to describe the clinical features of recent outbreaks caused by S. Choleraesuis in wild boar from central-western Spain, as well as the antimicrobial resistance and phylogenetic relationships of isolates involved, and shows that prevention against S.Cholerais must be considered in the sanitary programs of the wild boars breeders.
Journal ArticleDOI

The stallion spermatozoa: A valuable model to help understand the interplay between metabolism and redox (de)regulation in sperm cells.

TL;DR: Increasing knowledge on sperm metabolism and its interactions with redox regulation, may improve current sperm technologies in use and shall provide new clues to the understanding of male factor infertility.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of testicular echotexture with Ecotext as a diagnostic method of testicular dysfunction in stallions.

TL;DR: In this paper , a new software for evaluation of testicular echotexture, called Ecotext, is used for diagnosis of stallions with testicular dysfunction (TD), and the relationship between testicular motility and production, testicular volume, and testicular blood flow are also studied.
