Comparative analysis of active constituents in Centella asiatica samples from Madagascar: Application for ex situ conservation and clonal propagation
Denis Randriamampionona,Billo Diallo,Francisco Rakotoniriana,Christian Rabemanantsoa,Kiban Cheuk,Anne-Marie Corbisier,Jacques Mahillon,Suzanne Ratsima-Manga,Mondher El Jaziri +8 more
TL;DR: Acetoxycentellynol, a C(15)-polyacetylene, was found to be accumulated up to 18 times more in in vitro plants as compared to plant material collected in situ, and in vitro propagation of C. asiatica was successfully achieved in hormone-free medium.
Journal ArticleDOI
Screening for anti-infective properties of several medicinal plants of the Mauritians flora
Ournadevi Rangasamy,Guy E. Raoelison,Francisco Rakotoniriana,Kiban Cheuk,Suzanne Urverg-Ratsimamanga,Joëlle Quetin-Leclercq,Ameenah Gurib-Fakim,A.H. Subratty +7 more
TL;DR: Several plants of the Mauritian flora alleged to possess anti-infective properties were studied against different strains of pathogenic bacteria and fungi, and dichloromethane (DCM) extracts had the highest activity against the phytopathogenic fungus.

Ex situ conservation and clonal propagation of the Malagasy Syzygium cuminii, an antidiabetic plant
Denis Randriamampionona,Mamy Rafamantanana,Christian Rabemanantsoa,Francisco Rakotoniriana,Kiban Cheuk,Anne-Marie Corbisier,Jacques Mahillon,Suzanne Ratsima-Manga,Mondher El Jaziri +8 more
TL;DR: In vitro-propagated shoots produced adventitious roots when transferred to 1/2MS medium supplemented with either indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) or NAA, and are ready to be transferred for in situ cultivation to produce seeds for commercial purpose.
