Book ChapterDOI

A lattice-gas model for adsorption in microporous solids

TL;DR: In this paper, a three-dimensional lattice-gas Ising model is proposed for microporous solids via adsorption of gases and vapours, which is shown to represent correctly the fluid behavior predicted by more complete models.
Journal ArticleDOI

A new route for the synthesis of SiC–MoSi2 ceramic composite materials

TL;DR: SiC-MoSiSiSi2 ceramic composite materials with controlled molybdenum content can be prepared by reaction of silicon with previously formed carbide as mentioned in this paper, which can be obtained by using a mixture of silicon and carbide.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of chromium addition on the behaviour of iron/activated carbon catalysts for carbon monoxide hydrogenation

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of chromium addition to iron/active carbon catalysts in the carbon monoxide hydrogenation reaction at atmospheric pressure was studied, where five FeCr/C catalysts were prepared with a range of Cr/Fe atomic ratii.
Book ChapterDOI

Effect of thermal treatments on the surface chemistry of oxidized activated carbons

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of the surface chemistry of a carbon molecular sieve on the adsorption of propane and propylene were investigated, and it was shown that the surface properties of the carbons of the sieve had no relevance in the heat of adoration.
