Comparative performance of conservation agriculture and current smallholder farming practices in semi-arid Zimbabwe
TL;DR: In this paper, the short-term performance of conservation agriculture and current farming practices (CP) were compared in two multi-locational experiments: (1) unfertilised on-farm trials with a cotton-sorghum rotation during three consecutive seasons, and (2) farmers’ cotton fields receiving fertiliser provided on credit by cotton companies during two consecutive seasons.
Journal ArticleDOI
Understanding the factors influencing fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda J.E. Smith) damage in African smallholder maize fields and quantifying its impact on yield. A case study in Eastern Zimbabwe
Frédéric Baudron,Mainassara Zaman-Allah,Isaac Chaipa,Newton Chari,Peter Chinwada,Peter Chinwada +5 more
TL;DR: The objectives of this study were to understand the factors influencing FAW damage in African smallholder maize fields and quantify its impact on yield, using two districts of Eastern Zimbabwe as cases.
