Combined absorption and vapor-compression refrigeration system
TL;DR: In this paper, a conventional absorption refrigeration system is combined with a vapor compression refrigeration (VCG) system to improve the efficiency of the absorption system, which comprises compressing the vapor refrigerant from the evaporator before introducing it into the absorber, and/or compressing it from the generator before replacing it with the condenser.

A hybrid solar air conditioning system
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a hybrid system that combines the two most popular types of solar refrigeration systems, i.e., absorption and vapor compression, to achieve a lower initial cost than the absorption system and a lower operating cost, and power consumption than the vapor-compression system.

Stochastic Optimization of Convective-Fin Design
TL;DR: A probabilistic approach is presented that not only analyzes the probability of system failure but also uses this analysis to synthesize the optimal design of convective fins.
