Journal ArticleDOI

Polyflavanostilbene A, a new flavanol-fused stilbene glycoside from Polygonum cuspidatum.

TL;DR: Polyflavanostilbene A has an unprecedented rearranged flavanol skeleton fused to stilbenes via a hexahydrocyclopenta[c]furan moiety and showed strong inhibitory activity against α-glucosidase with an IC(50) value of 17.7 μM.
Journal ArticleDOI

NMR spectroscopic method for the assignment of 3,5-dioxygenated aromatic rings in natural products.

TL;DR: To expose the misleading results from the spectra, serial (1)H NMR experiments on compounds A-D were performed using various deuterated solvents and temperatures, which revealed separated proton signals for the ABX system in certain deuterations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Neuroprotective naphthalene and flavan derivatives from Polygonum cuspidatum.

TL;DR: Ten naphthalene derivatives including two unusual glycosides possessing a naphtha-fused piceid via a [C8'-O-C6-C5-C7']-trans-dihydrofuran ring, as well as sixteen known phenolic compounds, were isolated from Polygonum cuspidatum.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efficient Access to β-Amino Acid Ester/β-Amino Ketone Derivatives via Photocatalytic Radical Alkoxycabonylimidation/ Carbonylimidation of Alkenes

TL;DR: In this article , a photocatalytic protocol for the synthesis of β-amino acid ester and βamino ketone derivatives is developed by using simple and easy-to-synthesize oxime oxalate and oxime phenylglyoxylate as difunctionalization reagents.
Journal ArticleDOI

Acyl glycosides lignans, coumarins, and terpenes from the stems of Erycibe obtusifolia.

TL;DR: Nine new acyl glycosides, obtusifosides A-I (1-9), and eight known compounds have been isolated from an EtOH extract of the stems of Erycibe obTusifolia, and their structures were elucidated on the basis of a spectroscopic data analysis and chemical evidence.
