Journal ArticleDOI

Serum Protein Markers in Systemic Lupus erythematosus

TL;DR: Serum protein markers were studied in a series of 36 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus and compared to normal blood donors and a significant increase of complement C4 deficiency was found among the SLE patients.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bf and C3 complement types in rheumatoid arthritis.

TL;DR: The association between RA and C3F found in some previous investigations was not confirmed and the Bf FS phenotype found particularly in males and in patients with a family history of polyarthritis was found.
Journal ArticleDOI

Alpha-1-antitrypsin types and rheumatoid arthritis.

TL;DR: Frequencies of alpha‐1‐antitrypsin (Pi) phenotypes were studied in 100 female and 100 male Swedish patients with classical rheumatoid arthritis and compared with the population frequencies, indicating that an association between the Z allele and rheumatism is likely to exist and the evidence for a relationship between rheumatic arthritis and other Pi alleles is considerably weaker.
