Proceedings ArticleDOI

COOLMOS/sup TM/-a new milestone in high voltage power MOS

TL;DR: The CoolMOS/sup TM/ as discussed by the authors, a new high voltage power MOSFET based on the concept of charge compensation, has been introduced, which shows both a very small input capacitance and a strongly nonlinear output capacitance.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Improvement of the diode characteristics using emitter-controlled principles (EMCON-diode)

TL;DR: In this article, the shape and the amount of the carrier distribution in the middle region of a diode has been shown to influence the static behavior (voltage-current characteristic), the dynamic behavior (reverse recovery current, reverse recovery charge, soft recovery) and the temperature dependence of these characteristics.
