Journal ArticleDOI

The origin of the ore-bearing solution in the PbZn veins of the western Harz, Germany, as deduced from rare-earth element and isotope distributions in calcites

TL;DR: In this article, the rare earth element (REE) and stable isotope distribution patterns in calcites from the mining areas of St. Andreasberg, Clausthal and Bad Grund, western Harz, Germany, have been determined.
Journal ArticleDOI

The origin of the calcites from Pb-Zn veins in the Harz Mountains, Federal Republic of Germany

TL;DR: In this paper, it was suggested that the necessary HS−-rich solutions stem from near-surface hydrothermal convection cells set up by nearby granitic intrusions, which caused a decrease in temperature, an interruption of calcite deposition and sulphide mineralization.
Journal ArticleDOI

Petrographic and trace-element distribution studies on the dolomite-calcite in the regional metamorphic marble of the Griesscharte, Tyrol, Austria/Italy

TL;DR: In this paper, X-ray diffractometry was used to identify calcite-dolomite veins in a light yellow marble outcrops in the Griesscharte, Tyrol, Austria/Italy, and their form and distribution were established by scanning electron microscopy.
