Journal ArticleDOI
The possible effects on diffusion creep of some limitation of grain boundaries as vacancy sources or sinks
Journal ArticleDOI
The threshold stress for creep controlled by dislocation-particle interaction
TL;DR: In this article, a model based on the dissociation of lattice dislocations into interfacial dislocation was proposed to explain the attractive dislocation-particle interaction during the creep of dispersion-strengthened alloys.
Journal ArticleDOI
An analysis of the effect of multiaxial stresses and grain shape on Nabarro-Herring creep
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors show that the response to multiaxial stress is also strongly influenced by the anisotropy of the diffusion distances of vacancies between their sources and sinks.
Journal ArticleDOI
Low stress creep behaviour of 7075 high strength aluminium alloy
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the creep behaviour of superplastic 7075 aluminium alloy at applied tensile stresses between 1.8 and 6.3 MPa and found that the measured creep rates at low stresses were normalised for grain growth and found to be within a factor of 2 of the rates expected from the Nabarro-Herring equation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Negative creep in a nickel-base superalloy
TL;DR: Le fluage negatif en traction du Nimonic 90 sous faible contrainte est du a une contraction en volume de l'alliage due sans doute aux changements dans la fraction volumique de γ' as mentioned in this paper.
