Journal ArticleDOI
The geochemistry of Atlantic hydrothermal particles
TL;DR: German et al. as mentioned in this paper collected particle data from the dilute portion of neutrally buoyant hydrothermal plumes from four Mid-Atlantic Ridge sites (MARK, 23°N, TAG, 26°N; Broken Spur, 29°N); Lucky Strike, 37°N).
Journal ArticleDOI
Detection of hydrothermal plumes on the northern Mid-Atlantic Ridge: results from optical measurements
TL;DR: In this article, the observed frequency of high temperature venting from 23°N to 41°N on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge (MAR), a distance of approximately 1900 km, is one venting system per 150 km of ridge.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydrography above the Mid-Atlantic Ridge (33°-40°N) and within the Lucky Strike segment
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe the large-scale hydrography within the axial valley, with particular emphasis on the hydrothermally active Lucky Strike segment (37°17'N).

Anthropogenic lead cycle in the northeastern Atlantic
Ce Lambert,E Nicolas,A. Veron,Patrick Buat-Ménard,Gary P. Klinkhammer,P Lecorre,Pascal Morin +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, total Pb distributions in the water colurnn from various sites in the north-east Atlantic were investigated, and three stations exhibited a specifie Pb excess at the depth of the Mediterranean waters outflowing in the intermediate Atlantic waters; such an anomaly appears conservative over a distance of about 2 000 km.
