Journal ArticleDOI

Structure of the first parallel DNA quadruplex-drug complex.

TL;DR: The first crystal structure of a drug bound to a parallel-stranded intermolecular telomeric G4 quadruplex (d(TGGGGT)4) has been determined to high resolution and it is shown that the surface area of the terminal G-quartet in this parallel DNA quadruplex is sufficiently large that it could easily accommodate other potential telomerase inhibitors such as substituted porphyrins or telomestatin.
Journal ArticleDOI

Organometallic models for possible Fischer-Tropsch intermediates. Synthesis, structure, and reactions of a formaldehyde complex of osmium

TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis of a crystalline osmium complex (Os(eta/sup 2/ -CH/sub 2/O) (CO)/sub 2/(PPh/sub 3/)/sub 3) ) in which formaldehyde functions as a dihapto ligand is described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stepwise Reactions of Acetylenes with Iridium Thiocarbonyl Complexes To Produce Isolable Iridacyclobutadienes and Conversion of These to either Cyclopentadienyliridium or Tethered Iridabenzene Complexes

TL;DR: In this article, a cycloaddition reaction with the IrC multiple bond to the CS ligand gave the tethered iridacyclobutadiene complex IrCl(CS)(PPh3)2 with an excess of KI.
