Stagewise Liquid-Liquid Extraction Parametric Pumping. Equilibrium Analysis and Experiments

TL;DR: In this paper, a staged contacting device adapted from Craig's countercurrent extractor has been designed to allow back and forth stepwise displacement of the light liquid phase while the heavy liquid phase remains stationary.
Journal ArticleDOI

Amino acids separations by displacement chromatography. Effects of homogeneous and heterogeneous equilibria on separation performances

TL;DR: In this article, displacement chromatography of amino acids on columns of strong anionic resins in the hydroxyl form was investigated, and the displacer used was carbon dioxide dissolved in water.
Journal ArticleDOI

Donnan partition parametric pumping. Concentration and dilution effects in ion exchange parametric pumping

TL;DR: In this paper, specific parametric pumping experiments are presented, performed on a cation exchange resin with only one cation in the system; that is, without ion exchange, and the results show that the electrolyte can be concentrated and diluted; the direction of the concentration-dilution effect greatly depends on the cation considered.
Journal ArticleDOI

ESIEX-Electrical Swing Ion Exchange a Process Coupling Ion Exchange, Carbonic Acid Elution, and Electrochemical Regeneration

TL;DR: In this paper, a three-step cyclic mode is used for peptide purification, where the peptide dissociation constant must be between the two dissociation constants of carbonic acid, that is, 6.35 and 10.35.
