A sample-specific computational model of articular cartilage based on mri, histology, computer vision and mechanical testing

TL;DR: By considering only two main components; a fluid and a solid embedded with type II collagen fibers, articular cartilage may be considered a biphasic fiber reinforced material that exhibits a time-dependent stress-strain response.

Early Aortic Stiffening after TEVAR: An In Vitro Mock Perfusion Study

TL;DR: In this paper , the early biomechanical impact of Thoracic Endovascular Repair (TEVAR) against the aortic wall is investigated. But the authors focus on the early stages of TEVAR.

Accurate FE modeling of human annulus tissue for refined spinal implant design

TL;DR: In this paper, a finite element analysis of the annulus fibrosus has been carried out for the determination of nonlinear material parameters for single annulus lamellae, which can be interpreted in an unique and physically consistent way, and the results show excellent performance and accuracy within the physiological range of human lumbar motion segments.
