Journal ArticleDOI
Prediction of late seizures after ischaemic stroke with a novel prognostic model (the SeLECT score): a multivariable prediction model development and validation study.
Marian Galovic,Marian Galovic,Nico Döhler,Barbara Erdélyi-Canavese,Ansgar Felbecker,Philip Siebel,Julian Conrad,Julian Conrad,Stefan Evers,Michael Winklehner,Tim J. von Oertzen,Hans-Peter Haring,Anna Serafini,Giorgia Gregoraci,Mariarosaria Valente,Francesco Janes,Gian Luigi Gigli,Mark R. Keezer,John S. Duncan,Josemir W. Sander,Matthias J. Koepp,Barbara Tettenborn +21 more
TL;DR: The SeLECT score has the potential to identify individuals at high risk of seizures and is a step towards more personalised medicine and will guide the recruitment for biomarker studies of epileptogenesis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Biomarkers of lymphoma in Sjögren's syndrome and evaluation of the lymphoma risk in prelymphomatous conditions: results of a multicenter study.
Luca Quartuccio,Miriam Isola,Chiara Baldini,Roberta Priori,Elena Bartoloni Bocci,Francesco Carubbi,M. Maset,Giorgia Gregoraci,Vincenzo Della Mea,S. Salvin,Ginevra De Marchi,Nicoletta Luciano,Serena Colafrancesco,Alessia Alunno,Roberto Giacomelli,Roberto Gerli,Guido Valesini,Stefano Bombardieri,Salvatore De Vita +18 more
TL;DR: It was demonstrated for the first time that among the pSS patients with salivary swelling, only those with positive biomarkers present an increased risk of lymphoma evolution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Survival and impact of clinical prognostic factors in surgically treated metastatic renal cell carcinoma.
TL;DR: LU prognostic groups could be considered an accurate clinical tool to stratify patients according to prognosis and aid clinicians in the management of mRCC.
Journal ArticleDOI
Glioma-associated stem cells: a novel class of tumor-supporting cells able to predict prognosis of human low-grade gliomas.
Evgenia Bourkoula,Damiano Mangoni,Tamara Ius,Anja Pucer,Miriam Isola,Daniela Musiello,Stefania Marzinotto,Barbara Toffoletto,Marisa Sorrentino,Anita Palma,Federica Caponnetto,Giorgia Gregoraci,Marco Vindigni,Stefano Pizzolitto,Giovanni Falconieri,Giovanna De Maglio,Vanna Pecile,Maria Elisabetta Ruaro,Giorgia Gri,Pietro Parisse,Loredana Casalis,Giacinto Scoles,Miran Skrap,Carlo Alberto Beltrami,Antonio Paolo Beltrami,Daniela Cesselli +25 more
TL;DR: The microenvironment of both LGG and HGG hosts non‐tumorigenic multipotent stem cells that can increase in vitro the biological aggressiveness of glioma‐initiating cells through the release of exosomes, supporting the strong prognostic value associated with the characteristics of GASC.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical and biological differences between cryoglobulinaemic and hypergammaglobulinaemic purpura in primary Sjögren's syndrome: Results of a large multicentre study
Luca Quartuccio,Miriam Isola,Chiara Baldini,Roberta Priori,Elena Bartoloni,Francesco Carubbi,Giorgia Gregoraci,Saviana Gandolfo,S. Salvin,Nicoletta Luciano,Antonina Minniti,Alessia Alunno,Roberto Giacomelli,Roberto Gerli,Guido Valesini,Stefano Bombardieri,S. De Vita +16 more
TL;DR: HGV is a cutaneous vasculitis, related to a benign B-cell proliferation, whereas CV is a systemic immune complex-mediated vasculopathy with complement activation and a higher risk of lymphoma, thus confirming CV but not HGV as a prelymphomatous condition in pSS.
