Strain induced grain boundary migration effects on grain growth of an austenitic stainless steel during static and metadynamic recrystallization
TL;DR: In this paper, both static and metadynamic recrystallization of 304L austenitic stainless steel was investigated at 1100°C and 10 − 2 ǫ s − 1 strain rate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dsc analysis of strengthening precipitates in ultrafine Al-Mg-Si alloys
TL;DR: In this paper, equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) was carried out on solution annealed samples of Al−Mg−Si−Zr and Al-Mg-Si-Zr-Sc alloys to achieve a substantial grain refinement of the materials.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Cr and Mn addition and heat treatment on AlSi3Mg casting alloy
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of heat treatment on an AlSi3Mg alloy with and without Cr and Mn addition was investigated, and it was found that Cr and NM allowed the formation of dispersoids in the aluminium matrix after solution heat treatment at 545°C, as shown by scanning transmission electron microscope observations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of strain reversal on the dynamic spheroidization of Ti-6Al-4V during hot deformation
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of strain-path reversal on the kinetics of dynamic spheroidization during subtransus hot working was determined for Ti-6Al-4V with a colony α structure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gd-incorporation and luminescence properties in sol–gel silica glasses
D. Di Martino,Norberto Chiodini,Mauro Fasoli,Federico Moretti,Anna Vedda,Andrea Baraldi,Elisa Buffagni,Rosanna Capelletti,Margherita Mazzera,Martin Nikl,Giuliano Angella,Carlo B. Azzoni +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, a thorough study was performed on Gd-doped sol-gel silica glasses, in the concentration range 0-8mol% Gd. The analyses were carried out as a function of Gd content, before and after a post-densification thermal treatment.
