Journal ArticleDOI
Grapevine Pathogenic Microorganisms: Understanding Infection Strategies and Host Response Scenarios
Grace Armijo,Rudolf O. Schlechter,Mario Agurto,Daniela Muñoz,Constanza Nuñez,Patricio Arce-Johnson +5 more
TL;DR: The aim of this work is to bring a comprehensive review of the infection strategies deployed by significant types of pathogens while understanding the host response in both resistance and susceptibility scenarios.
Journal ArticleDOI
A simple RNA preparation method for SARS-CoV-2 detection by RT-qPCR
Aniela Wozniak,Ariel Cerda,Catalina Ibarra-Henriquez,Valentina Sebastian,Grace Armijo,Liliana Lamig,Carolina Miranda,Marcela Lagos,Sandra Solari,Ana María Guzmán,Teresa Quiroga,Susan Hitschfeld,Eleodoro Riveras,Marcela Ferrés,Rodrigo A. Gutiérrez,Patricia García +15 more
TL;DR: This work reports a method for RNA extraction that takes about 40 min to complete ten samples, and is not more laborious than current commercial RNA extraction kits, and can be used to process nasopharyngeal swab samples and yields RT-qPCR results comparable to those obtained with commercial kits.
Journal ArticleDOI
Omics Approaches for Understanding Grapevine Berry Development: Regulatory Networks Associated with Endogenous Processes and Environmental Responses.
Alejandra Serrano,Carmen Espinoza,Grace Armijo,Claudio Inostroza-Blancheteau,Evelyn Poblete,Carlos Meyer-Regueiro,Anibal Arce,Francisca Parada,Claudia Santibañez,Claudia Santibañez,Patricio Arce-Johnson +10 more
TL;DR: This review focuses on the integration of global approaches, including proteomics, metabolomics, and especially transcriptomics, to understand grape berry development.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nitrate Induction of Primary Root Growth Requires Cytokinin Signaling in Arabidopsis thaliana
Pamela A. Naulin,Grace Armijo,Andrea S Vega,Karem P. Tamayo,Diana E. Gras,Javiera de la Cruz,Rodrigo A. Gutiérrez +6 more
TL;DR: Evidence is provided linking nitrate and cytokinin signaling for the control of primary root growth in Arabidopsis thaliana via increased meristem activity and cytkinin signaling.
Journal ArticleDOI
Paraburkholderia phytofirmans PsJN Protects Arabidopsis thaliana Against a Virulent Strain of Pseudomonas syringae Through the Activation of Induced Resistance
TL;DR: This study provides the first report on the mechanism used by the PGPR P. phytofirmans PsJN to protect A. thaliana against a widespread virulent pathogenic bacterium.
