Journal ArticleDOI

Dendrimers: a review of their appeal and applications

TL;DR: In this article, the three intriguing regions of a dendritic molecule are discussed: the multifunctional surface, the tailored sanctuary within the branches, and the encapsulated core.
Journal ArticleDOI

Supramolecular dendritic two-component gel

TL;DR: In this article, a two-component supramolecular organogel with a linear aliphatic diamine in non-hydrogen-bonding solvents is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Supramolecular dendrimer chemistry: using dendritic crown ethers to reversibly generate functional assemblies

TL;DR: In this article, a series of crown ether derivatives functionalised with dendritic branching based on l -lysine repeat units has been synthesised, and the ability of these receptors to interact with cationic guests has been investigated using NMR and mass spectrometric techniques.
Journal ArticleDOI

Supramolecular solubilisation of hydrophilic dyes by using individual dendritic branches

TL;DR: UV/Visible spectroscopic methods have shown that the dendritic branches, in addition to the tuning of the extent of dye uptake, also tune the optical properties of the solubilised dye and this provides further insight into the interactions occurring between the soluble dye and the individual dendrite branches.
