Journal ArticleDOI
Slow coronary flow: Clinical and histopathological features in patients with otherwise normal epicardial coronary arteries
Enrico Mangieri,Guido Macchiarelli,Massimo Ciavolella,Francesco Barillà,Andrea Avella,Alessandra Martinotti,Louis J. Dell'Italia,Giovanni Scibilia,Motta Pm,Pietro Paolo Campa +9 more
TL;DR: In some patients with slow coronary flow and patent coronary arteries, functional obstruction of microvessels seems to be implicated, as it is relieved by dipyridamole infusion.
Journal ArticleDOI
Capillary angiogenesis and degeneration in bovine ovarian antral follicles.
TL;DR: The results show that angiogenesis increases during bovine follicular growth and occurs unevenly in different inner theca regions of the follicles, and the differential angiogenic and degenerative response of theca interna capillaries may reflect differences in the microenvironment ofthe follicles.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cryopreservation and xenotransplantation of human ovarian tissue: an ultrastructural study.
Stefania A. Nottola,Alessandra Camboni,Alessandra Camboni,Anne Van Langendonckt,Dominique Demylle,Guido Macchiarelli,Marie-Madeleine Dolmans,Belen Martinez-Madrid,Silvia Correr,Jacques Donnez +9 more
TL;DR: Cryopreservation and xenotransplantation do not appear to greatly affect human primordial/primary follicle ultrastructure, and Interestingly, in frozen-thawed xenografts, secondary human ovarian follicles presented a well preserved ultrast structure, but asynchrony between oocyte and granulosa cell development was detected.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ultrastructure of human mature oocytes after slow cooling cryopreservation using different sucrose concentrations
Stefania A. Nottola,Guido Macchiarelli,Giovanni Coticchio,Serena Bianchi,Sandra Cecconi,L. De Santis,Giulia Scaravelli,Carlo Flamigni,Andrea Borini +8 more
TL;DR: Freeze/thawing procedures are associated with ultrastructural alterations in specific oocyte microdomains, presumably linked to the reduced developmental potential of mature cryopreserved oocytes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Functional and ultrastructural evidence of myocardial stunning after acute carbon monoxide poisoning
Luigi Tritapepe,Guido Macchiarelli,Monica Rocco,Francesco Scopinaro,Orazio Schillaci,Eugenio Martuscelli,Pietro M. Motta +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied human myocardial ultrastructural changes after carbon monoxide poisoning inducing reversible cardiac failure in a 25-year-old woman, and reported clinical, functional and morphologic findings.
