Aus zwei Zexmenia-Arten werden zwei neue Sesquiterpene (10 und 12), mehrere neue Sandaracopimar-8(14),15-dien-Derivate (15, 17–24, 26 und 27) und drei neue Sesquiterpenlactone (28–30) isoliert. Die Konstitutionen werden durch spektroskopische Methoden und einige chemische Reaktionen geklart. Die chemotaxonomische Situation der dritten Gruppe der Subtribus Verbesininae wird diskutiert.



Naturally Occurring Terpene Derivatives, 117 New Sandaracopimardiene Derivatives, Sesquiterpenes, and Sesquiterpene Lactones from Zexmenia Species



From two Zexmenia species two new sesquiterpenes (10 and 12), several new sandaracopimar-8(14),15-diene derivatives (15, 17–24, 26, and 27) and new sesquiterpene lactones (28–30) were isolated. The structures of these compounds have been elucidated by spectroscopic methods and some chemical reactions. The chemotaxonomical situation of the third group of the subtribe Verbesininae is discussed.

(−)-thermarol, a new ent-pimarane-class diterpene diol from Jungermannia thermarum (liverwort)

The volatile components of Ferulago nodosa (L.) Boiss. were obtained by simultaneous steam-distillation extraction (SDE), and supercritical-fluid extraction (SFE). Gas chromatographic analyses showed different qualitative and quantitative profiles between the oils obtained by the two different procedures. The product of SDE contained several aromatic components, including the main compound 2,3,4-trimethylbenzaldehyde (42.2%), which were artefacts formed by thermolysis of a non-volatile monoterpenoid compound present in the plant. Aus verschiedenen Vertretern der Gattungen Garuleum und Osteospermum werden elf neue Diterpene (4, 12, 13, 17–19, 22, 23, 29, 31 und 33) isoliert und in ihrer Struktur und Konfiguration durch ihre spektroskopischen Daten sowie durch chemische Reaktionen geklart. Alle Verbindungen sind Derivate des Sandaracopimar-15-en-8s-ols (2).

From different representatives of the genera Garuleum and Osteospermum eleven new diterpenes (4, 12, 13, 17–19, 22, 23, 29, 31, and 33) have been isolated, their structures and configurations being elucidated by spectroscopical data and chemical reactions. All compounds are derivatives of sandaracopimar-15-en-8s-ol (2).

Ausgehend von dem Trimetyleyclohexadien-carbaldehyd 3 wurden die racemischen Terpene 1, 5, 6 und 8 synthetisiert. Der entscheidende Schritt ist die schwierige allylische Substitution.

Starting with the trimethyleyclohexadiene carbaldehyde 3 the racemic terpenes 1, 5, 6 and 8 has been synthesized. The crucial step is the difficult allylic substitution.
