Crustal evolution and Phanerozoic crustal growth in northern Xinjiang: Nd isotopic evidence. Part I. Isotopic characterization of basement rocks

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors conducted geochemical and Nd isotopic studies on both the basement rocks and Phanerozoic granites from the major tectonic terranes in northern Xinjiang: Altai, Junggar, Tianshan and North Tarim.
Journal ArticleDOI

Constraints on the age of basement and crustal growth in Tianshan Orogen by Nd isotopic composition

TL;DR: Based on study of Nd isotopic composition for 101 rocks of various types from Tianshan Orogen, the age and character of basement and continental crustal evolution of the tianshan orogen were proposed as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Zircon U-Pb age of granitic gneiss on Duku highway in western Tianshan of China and its geological implications

TL;DR: Granitic gneiss has high ASI value (1.09), high LILE and LREE contents, significantly negative Eu depletion, distinctly negative Ba, Sr, P, Ti and Nb anomalies and indicate continental crust parentage, which is consistent with high initial87Sr/86Sr ratios value (0.7170) and very negative eNd(t)=-14.1.
