Epigenetic changes in preimplantation embryos subjected to laser manipulation.
Sachin D. Honguntikar,Sujith Raj Salian,Fiona D’Souza,Shubhashree Uppangala,Guruprasad Kalthur,Satish Kumar Adiga +5 more
TL;DR: Results from this study suggest that two-cell-stage laser manipulation of embryos changes the mRNA level of Dnmts without affecting the global DNA methylation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preimplantation diagnosis of genetic diseases.
TL;DR: The technique, indications, benefits, and limitations of pre-implantation genetic testing in clinical practice are reviewed.
Journal ArticleDOI
The extent of paternal sperm DNA damage influences early post-natal survival of first generation mouse offspring
Dayanidhi Kumar,Dinesh Upadhya,Sujit Raj Salian,Satish Rao,Guruprasad Kalthur,Pratap Kumar,Satish Kumar Adiga +6 more
TL;DR: A significant reduction of survival in the early post-natal period was observed in the first generation offspring derived from the DNA damaged sperm, and a strong association was observed between the extent of sperm DNA damage and the survival of the offspring.
Journal ArticleDOI
Design and Microwave Assisted Synthesis of Coumarin Derivatives as PDE Inhibitors
Mahadev N. Kumbar,Ravindra R. Kamble,Atulkumar A. Kamble,Sujith Raj Salian,Sandhya Kumari,Ramya Nair,Guruprasad Kalthur,Satish Kumar Adiga,D. Jagadeesh Prasad +8 more
TL;DR: Coumarins appended to benzimidazole through pyrazole are designed and synthesized using microwave irradiation and some of the synthesized compounds have exhibited potent inhibitory activity on PDE.
Journal ArticleDOI
Oncofertility: Knowledge, Attitudes, and Barriers Among Indian Oncologists and Gynecologists
Prathima Tholeti,Shubhashree Uppangala,Vasudeva Bhat,Karthik S Udupa,Vijay Kumar,Shobhana S. Patted,Pandiyan Natarajan,Norah Spears,Guruprasad Kalthur,Teresa K. Woodruff,Satish Kumar Adiga +10 more
TL;DR: Effective collaboration between oncologists and gynecologists is essential to establish a successful FP program, and economic burden on the patient and lack of patient and physician awareness are limiting factors that need to be overcome.
