Detection of hydrogen peroxide at mesoporous platinum microelectrodes.
Stuart A.G. Evans,Joanne M. Elliott,Lynn M. Andrews,Philip N. Bartlett,Peter J. Doyle,Guy Denuault +5 more
TL;DR: Mesoporous platinum microelectrodes electrodeposited from the hexagonal (H(I)) lyotropic liquid crystalline phase are shown to be excellent amperometric sensors for the detection of hydrogen peroxide over a wide range of concentrations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Scanning electrochemical microscopy - a new technique for the characterization and modification of surfaces
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a new type of scanning-tip-type microscopy in which the imaging process depends on the interaction of the substrate with a species electrogenerated at the tip.
Journal ArticleDOI
Direct determination of diffusion coefficients by chronoamperometry at microdisk electrodes
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the chronoamperometric response at a microdisk for the direct determination of the diffusion coefficient of an electroactive species, which does not require knowledge of the bulk concentration and the number of electrons participating in the electrode reaction and requires only a value for the disk radius.
Journal ArticleDOI
Scanning electrochemical microscopy (secm) : an investigation of the effects of tip geometry on amperometric tip response
TL;DR: In this article, an alternating direction implicit algorithm was used to simulate the amperometric tip responses for a wide range of tip substrate distances over conducting and insulating substrates, and the shape of the approach curves was investigated for several electroactive disk to insulator radii ratios.
Journal ArticleDOI
Scanning electrochemical microscopy: theory and application of the transient (chronoamperometric) SECM response
TL;DR: A study of the transient (chronoamperometric) response of the scanning electrochemical microscope (SECM) is presented and a procedure is established that allows the determination of the diffusion coefficient of the species in solution independent of its concentration and the number of electrons transferred in the electrode reaction.
