Essential fatty acid deficiency in an infant receiving prolonged parenteral alimentation.
TL;DR: A case of severe essential fatty acid deficiency which occurred during a period of fat-free parenteral alimentation is demonstrated, in which the scaly skin lesions, growth retardation, and altered plasma fatty acid pattern seen previously in infants receiving oral diets deficient in essential fatty acids were observed.

TL;DR: Endoscopically directed hydrostatic balloon tracheoplasty is a safe and effective method for the treatment of tracheal stenosis of varying causes and several adjunctive techniques have been performed, including electrocautery of granulation tissue and parenteral use of steroids.
