Critical velocity of fluid-conveying pipes resting on two-parameter foundation

TL;DR: In this paper, analytical expressions for critical velocity of a fluid flowing in a pipeline and resting on a two-parameter foundation like the Pasternak foundation are derived for three simple boundary conditions, namely: pinned-pinned, pinned clamped and clamped clamped.
Journal ArticleDOI

Vibrations of Fluid-Conveying Pipes Resting on Two-parameter Foundation

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of the transverse and shear parameters related to the Pasternak- Winkler model and the fluid flow velocity parameter on the frequencies of vibration are studied based on the numerical results obtained for various pipe end conditions.
