TL;DR: In this paper, the potential impact of restaging PET/CT on changes in the management of recurrent prostate cancer after radical prostatectomy (RP) is reviewed, which addresses potential adaptation of prostate bed radiation therapy target volumes and doses, as well as use of androgen-deprivation therapy (ADT).
Journal ArticleDOI
Assessment of S Values in Stylized and Voxel-Based Rat Models for Positron-Emitting Radionuclides
TL;DR: The produced S values for common positron-emitting radionuclides can be exploited in the assessment of radiation dose to rats from different radiotracers used in small animal PET experiments, contributing to a better understanding of the influence of different computational models on small animal dosimetry.
Journal ArticleDOI
Trends in PET quantification: opportunities and challenges
TL;DR: Quantitative analysis makes it possible to establish a direct relationship between the time-varying activity concentration in organs/tissues of interest and the functional parameters representing the underlying biological processes at the cellular level, and can be linked to clinical outcomes so that disease activity can be assessed and related to the underlying pathological states.
Journal ArticleDOI
Impact of X-ray tube settings and metallic leads on neurological PET imaging when using CT-based attenuation correction
TL;DR: It was concluded that the attenuation map derivation is independent of tube current used for the settings explored in this work, and the visual qualitative interpretation and quantitative analysis of neurological PET emission images isindependent of X-ray tube voltage.
