Journal ArticleDOI
Multicomponent reactions (MCR) in medicinal chemistry: a patent review (2010-2020).
Hafiza Amna Younus,Mariya al-Rashida,Abdul Hameed,Maliha Uroos,Uzma Salar,Sobia Rana,Khalid Mohammed Khan,Khalid Mohammed Khan +7 more
TL;DR: Application of MCRs is the recent advancement in the field of drug design and discovery which will expectedly lead to the development of medicinally important heterocyclic compounds with a vast range of biological activities.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sulfonyl hydrazones derived from 3-formylchromone as non-selective inhibitors of MAO-A and MAO-B: Synthesis, molecular modelling and in-silico ADME evaluation.
Syed Mobasher Ali Abid,Hafiza Amna Younus,Mariya al-Rashida,Zunaira Arshad,Tooba Maryum,Mazhar Amjad Gilani,Abdulrahman I. Alharthi,Jamshed Iqbal +7 more
TL;DR: A series of sulfonyl hydrazones derived from 3-formylchromone was synthesized and discovered to be effective, non-selective inhibitors of monoamine oxidases (MAO-A and MAO-B) with predicted good oral bioavailability.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sulfonylhydrazones: Design, synthesis and investigation of ectonucleotidase (ALP & e5'NT) inhibition activities.
Hafiza Amna Younus,Abdul Hameed,Abid Mahmood,Muhammad Siraj Khan,Muhammad Saeed,Farwa Batool,Asnuzilawati Asari,Habsah Mohamad,Julie Pelletier,Jean Sévigny,Jamshed Iqbal,Mariya al-Rashida +11 more
TL;DR: The potent compounds 5a, 7, and 9d against different ectonucleotidases (h-ecto 5'-NT, h-TNAP, h -IAP) could potentially serve as lead for the development of new therapeutic agents.
