Journal ArticleDOI
Faint AGNs Favor Unexpectedly Long Inter-band Time Lags
Ting Li,Mouyuan Sun,Xiaoyu Xu,W. N. Brandt,Jonathan R. Trump,Zhefu Yu,Junxian Wang,Yongquan Xue,Zhen-Yi Cai,Wei-Min Gu,Y. Homayouni,Tong Liu,Junfeng Wang,Zhi-Xiang Zhang,Haikun Li +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that sources with larger than expected time lags tend to be less-luminous AGNs, i.e., an anti-correlation resembling the well-known Baldwin effect.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modeling quasar UV/Optical variability with the corona-heated accretion-disk reprocessing (CHAR) model
Mouyuan Sun,Yongquan Xue,Hengxiao Guo,Hengxiao Guo,Junxian Wang,W. N. Brandt,Jonathan R. Trump,Zhicheng He,Tong Liu,Jianfeng Wu,Haikun Li +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the rest-frame UV/optical variability of the quasars in the SDSS Stripe 82 to test the Corona-Heated Accretion-disk Reprocessing (CHAR) model of Sun et al. 2020.
