Total ankle arthroplasty versus ankle arthrodesis for the treatment of end-stage ankle arthritis: a meta-analysis of comparative studies.

TL;DR: A meta-analysis of comparative studies revealed that TAA and AA could achieve similar clinical outcomes, whereas the incidence of re-operation and major surgical complication was significantly increased in TAA.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hyaline cartilage regeneration by combined therapy of microfracture and long-term bone morphogenetic protein-2 delivery.

TL;DR: The hypothesis that long-term delivery of BMP-2 to cartilage defects subjected to microfracture results in regeneration of high-quality hyaline-like cartilage, as opposed to short-term Delivery of B MP-2 or no BMP -2 delivery is tested.
Journal ArticleDOI

Differential wedging of vertebral body and intervertebral disc in thoracic and lumbar spine in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis – A cross sectional study in 150 patients

TL;DR: It is concluded that wedging in disc and body are increasing with progression on scoliosis and maximum at apex; however there is differential wedging of body and disc, in thoracic and lumbar area, that is vertebral body wedging is more profound inThoracic area while disc wedge is more significant in lumbr area which possibly form 'vicious cycle' by asymmetric loading to spine for the progression of curve.
Journal ArticleDOI

Temporomandibular joint herniation into the external auditory canal.

TL;DR: Evaluated the clinical and radiological findings and the treatment results of TMJ herniation into the EAC by reviewing a large sample of temporal bone computed tomography (CT) scans.
Journal ArticleDOI

Arthroscopic Versus Open Ankle Arthrodesis: A Systematic Review

TL;DR: AAA was shown to offer the advantages of better clinical scores, fewer complications, a shorter hospital stay, and less blood loss compared with OAA, while the union rate, reoperation rate, and operation time were similar overall between the 2 groups.
