1,3-Dimethylpyrimidoheterocycles as antibacterial agents

Abstract: 1,3-Dimethylbarbituric acid was used as a versatile precursor for the preparation of annelated pyranopyrimidines 2 and 3a-c besides pyrrolopyrimidine 12. The isolated pyrazolopyrimidines 8a-c and 10 and fused pyrazolopyrimidines 14a-d were also synthesized. In addition the new obtained pyrimidoheterocycles were subjected to bacterial testings. 1,3-Dimethylpyrimidoheterozykien als antibakterielle Substanzen 1,3-Dimethylbarbitursaure wurde als vielseitiger Vorlaufer in der Synthese der annelierten Pyranopyrimidine 2 und 3a-c neben Pyrrolopyrimidin 12 verwendet. Die isolierten Pyrazolopyrimidine 8a-c und 10 und die kondensierten Pyrazolopyrimidine 14a-d wurden ebenfalls synthetisiert. Die neu erhaltenen Pyrimidoheterozyklen wurden auf antibakterielle Wirkung gepruft.
